What should I know about this activity?
River trips range from two-hour excursions to overnight camping adventures. Open Memorial Day through mid-October, canoeing is available seven days a week. Canoes hold two to four people and rafts hold four to people. Minimum age in a canoe is 6 and minimum age in a raft is 3. All participants must know how to swim. Parking, shuttle transportation to and from the river, life jackets, paddles, river maps, and safety orientation are all provided. NOTE: Camping gear is not included. Campers must provide their own tent and other camp gear. River campsites are first-come, first-served and are available by river access only. The park service does not provide or allow any reservations for these river sites.
